Reminiscing To Forget

One look in your eyes
Takes me back in time
I know you don’t
Want to go there

So I’ll stay
To give you
A lonely company
In the safety of
The neverending present

Don’t worry dear
I was never mad
For you or without you
I’ve this curse
Of uncompromising sanity

But I can still see
In those eyes
Everything
That I had forgotten
The very first time

And everything
You want to forget
And so I’ll forget
Yet again

Sounds more like from- someone who ‘under a spell’ (not a curse!) of someone unforgettable to me:)

Hmm, this kind of sanity…can drive a person crazy;-)

ditto to maria , abt this kind of sanity driving any one crazy. Somehow this one line and the words curse and uncompromising sanity will stay with me today. When I know why , I’ll come back and leave another comment.
